How can be a childbirth in water?

I started looking information on how is a birth in water,  how difficult or how safe it is. What dows it need and where can this happen? What I found is that this process can take place in a hospital or in the house using a small plastic swimming pools or a bath which looks like a jacuzzi with 50-60cm water depth.

However, even if I had an idea on how is a birth in water, I would like to create a completely different environment for the same function. I would like this space to adopt something of Zumthor's atmosphere and be like a holistic environment in order to be according with the valuable and memorable times of a birth.

Taking the information I need on how is a birth in water and the influence from Zumthor's Baths I would like to propose a birth place which combines the two. So the swimming pools for birth in water will be in the ground as the water to be in continuation of the floor surface which then getting deeper in the ground. This offers a more direct contact with the ground and the feeling of it as I sai before. You feel the breathing of the earth.

The next step was to look for places ni Nottingham that offer the opportunity to women to give birth in water. Queen's Medical Centre is such a place. However its atmosphere and environment wasn't what I would like to give into my building. An austere, sterile and cold medical environment. I wanted to be a a place that women feel comfortable to be in and live one of the most valuable and memorable moments in their lives.
